Equality Gender Duty - The Process and Impact on the Workplace
Overview
The Gender Equality Duty came into force in April 2007 and is the biggest change in equality legislation in 30 years, since the introduction of the Sex Discrimination Act itself. It has been introduced in recognition of a radical new approach to equality - one which places more responsibility with service providers to think more strategically about gender equality, rather than leaving it to individuals to challenge poor practice. The aim of the course is to provide delegates with the skills and knowledge to implement a process, which is in line with the new Gender Equality Duty. The course will also give delegates an understanding of the impact that the new legislation will have on the workforce.
